About

About me

My love of knitting began when I was very young with my Nan and Mum teaching me how to knit. My first project was knitted squares. Starting with just one stitch, increasing and decreasing to form the shape, I knitted square after square and eventually had enough to sew together into a giant blanket.

Knitting stayed with me throughout my childhood, before life got busy and the needles were set aside for a while. But a few years later, knitting found its way back into my life again - this time as a way to slow down and unwind. The gentle rhythm of the needles, the feel of the yarn, and the satisfaction of seeing something grow stitch by stitch reminded me why I had loved it so much.

That renewed passion led to the creation of Miss Knit Nat, which originally began as a hand-knitted accessories brand. I designed and knitted chunky pom-pom hats, headbands, scarves and cowls - cosy pieces made with beautiful textured yarns.

Today, those original designs are now available as as knitting patterns so that other knitters can create their own versions at home.

Texture has always been at the heart of my work. I especially love working with chunky yarns and exploring how stitches build structure and pattern. Alongside my hand knitting, my machine knitting business allows me to experiment with bold colour and geometric designs, deepening my understanding of what can be created through knitwear.

My hand knitting patterns are available on my PayHip store for international download or via this website (UK only).

You can also find my knitting patterns on Ravelry, Etsy and LoveCrafts.
